Maple Star Oregon is pleased to offer our four-week version of the Think:Kids (thinkkids.org) Collaborative Problem Solving Parent Training series. The series is comprised of four sessions, one per week for four weeks. Each session is four hours long. The purpose is to provide an intensive introduction to the CPS approach to challenging behaviors in children. The series helps parents learn to assess, plan, and intervene through the CPS lens. Through discussions, lecture, case examples, and group practice parents will learn about the CPS philosophy, neurobiology/trauma, how to break down behavioral patterns into specific problems and lagging skills, how to approach those problems and lagging skills through the CPS lens of empahty and relationship building, and gain experience applying class lessons to real life situations.
